The Tsinghua-Todai Great Wall Forum was held in the Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication on October 12.

Professor Weihe Xie, the vice president of Tsinghua University, warmly welcomed Professor Shunya Yoshimi, the vice president of the University of Tokyo. They had a friendly conversation regarding the universities’ future co-operation on educational causes.

Professor Baoguo Cui, an associate dean of Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication, and Asahi Shimbun editorial board member Wataru Sawamura, a visiting scholar at Tsinghua, also attended the forum.

The Great Wall forum was jointly organized by Tsinghua University and the University of Tokyo. At the opening ceremony, Professor Yoshimi, Professor Cui and Professor Sawamura gave keynote speeches on Sino-Japanese relations. During the two-day forum, 20 graduate students from Tsinghua University and the University of Tokyo delivered speeches in English and discussed issues relating to their research.
