Professor James Breiner teaches Multimedia Business Journalism and Feature Writing in the Global Business Journalism Program


Professor James Breiner has been co-director of the Global Business Journalism program at Tsinghua University since September 2011. He has more than 30 years of experience as a newspaper reporter, editor and publisher, most of that with the American City Business Journals group. He has done teaching and consulting in Belarus, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, England, Mexico, Peru and Spain.

As a Knight International Journalism Fellow, he launched and directed the Digital Journalism Training Center at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Bilingual in Spanish and English, he created and taught online courses for journalists from 22 countries. He also helped design on online master’s degree program in digital journalism for the University.
