History

The Global Business Journalism Program was founded in 2007 as a partnership between Tsinghua University School of Journalism and Communication and the Washington-based International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). The School of Journalism has been recognized as one of the Top 5 in China. It celebrated its 10th anniversary in May 2012. ICFJ's mission is to advance quality journalism worldwide. It has worked with more than 75,000 professional and citizen journalists and media managers from 180 countries.

With the support of founding sponsors Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bloomberg, Deloitte and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the program is in its sixth year and counts 126 graduates from 24 countries.
