Some members of Tsinghua University's Global Business Journalism Alumni Association met over dinner to say "thanks" to Professor Margie Freaney (center) before she returned to the U.S. after teaching multimedia business reporting in the spring semester. The event in Beijing was organized by Penny Peng (front row left), who now works at Bloomberg News and hosted by Bloomberg Professor Lee Miller. The alumni were Hannah Han, Jolly Jiang and Cherry Peng, who all work at Xinhua News Agency; Jade Cao of China Securities Journal; Zheng Yangpeng from China Daily; Faye Li of China Youth Daily; Yao Hu of the National Security Agency; Adam Chiu of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation; Alfred-Charles Co, a PhD candidate at Tsinghua; and Daisy Su of Bank of Beijing. The event was the second since the GBJ Alumni Association was established in 2012 to celebrate the journalism program's five-year anniversary.
