Mr. Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and of the secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, led a Chinese press delegation to visit Russia that included Professor Shi Anbin, Associate Dean of International Development of Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication.

Professor Shi was the only member of the delegation who hailed from the university research institutions. He made a keynote speech at the China-Russia Media Forum on the topic "Utilizing New Media to Create a Successful Cyberspace for China and Russia" in St. Petersburg on June 25. A summary of the speech was published in People's Daily on June 27.

During the trip to Russia, Professor Shi also visited Moscow State University School of Journalism, the Russian National Higher School of Economics Department of Media and Design.

Mr. Liu is also head of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department.
